The Seaway Kiwanis Children’s Farm Foundation is a CRA registered charity that was established with the sole purpose to raise awareness and the much-needed funds to support the ongoing operation of The Children’s Animal Farm located in Canatara Park.
The Sarnia Children's Animal Farm was opened in May of 1964. The Seaway Kiwanis, in co-operation with the City of Sarnia, developed this invaluable program, which has become the most popular year-round attraction at Canatara Park. The Seaway Kiwanis Club has been the largest benefactor to the Animal Farm since it opened, donating over half a million dollars to the Farm effort. Thousands of people visit the farm annually - it is no secret why the animal farm has been so successful – it inspires local children.
Our farm foundation’s primary focus is aimed at protecting this Sarnia tradition. It is our goal to ensure the Children’s farm flourishes for generations to come. Ensuring the children’s farm is available to children without cost is a top priority. It is with much thanks to donors like you that allow the Seaway Kiwanis to continue funding this important initiative.
